4th December 2017
An alternative entertainment experience for the Little Angel Theatre. Not in the main venue but a larger site around the corner and with an interactive craft lesson.
We met the elves in their sorting office and wrote a letter to Father Christmas while we waited. There was a huge red post box ready to receive our letters and Betty has pointed out every one in the street since that day. Then Elfis Pressie showed us to the shadow puppet ‘telly’ where we watched the Night before Christmas.
Suddenly the curtains were pulled back and Santa’s workshop was revealed along with the other elves. Our aim was to help out by making elf toys from wooden spoons by adding clothes, hats and decorations.
In small groups we visited Santa in his sorting room. A wooden puppet version and one of his reindeer peered in from the sleigh room. We got to see all of the toys wrapped and ready for delivery on Christmas Eve. We even got a small gift to take home when we left as well as our handmade elf.
